ordos 100

along with the ordos art museum and ordos concert hall (i have been studying the skin of the latter), ordos 100 will be the third major (and probably the most important) component in the ordos architectural zoo culture and creative zone.

the investor/developer has asked chinese artist ai wei wei to manage these projects. ai, then, turned to swiss architects herzog & de meuron, who have recently selected 100 young architects/firms to design 100 houses (structures) villas in ordos. if the plan goes ahead, the coal-rich ordos desert will soon experience an influx of international architects. however, nobody knows how many unknown unknowns there are in china.
